 04-12 October 2008   National Quaker week
Mid-Essex Quakers are holding a number of "Quakers reaching out" events, details of which are given below.
 04 October 2008   Traidcraft Coffee Morning, 10-12 at Brentwood Meeting House. Free refreshments. Traidcraft Stall.
 08 October 2008  Mid-week Meeting at Brentwood Meeting House, 20:00 - 21:30. Led by Bill Gent, the subject will be "Spirituality". Open to anyone wishing to attend.
 08-11 October 2008  Display in Chelmsford, in County Hall atrium (by library entrance) entitled "Quakers in the Life of Chelmsford". Quakers have been an active part of Chelmsford life for over 350 years. This small display attempts to cover this span of time, with an emphasis on the threads of social compassion, peace, equality and justice which have been and are the most visible face of Quakerism. We hope that you enjoy it.The display will be manned whenever possible to answer questions.
 10 October 2008  Maldon Meeting are holding a 'Hunger Lunch' at their Meeting House in Butt Lane, Maldon from 12noon to 1:30pm. All are welcome. Donations welcomed for the charity "Crisis" (http://www.crisis.org.uk/).
 11 October 2008  Meeting for Worship in church ruins in Brentwood High Street. 10:30 - 12:00. Meeting for Worship, 11:15 - 11:45. Stall with information. Noticeboard with posters.
 12 October 2008   Brentwood Meeting House. Usual Meeting for Worship will be followed by a Bring and Share lunch. Enquirers very welcome to attend.
 12 October 2008  Billericay Meeting House. Billericay Friends welcome visitors to meet them over a buffet lunch. Visitors are invited to attend Meeting for Worship (11.00 to 12.00) before the lunch or on any other Sunday.
